Discovering Life's Purpose

Like a never ending desert mirage we search for meaning in our lives. There are many of roads to choose, ideas to employ and viewpoints to use, shape, and take on as our own. With each stage of our lives we face confusion because of the many directions we can choose to take in life. Circumstances, people, institutions, concepts all play a part in molding and shaping our journey. Our environment shapes us, molds us and helps us to define our character; more than we can imagine. So our purpose; our meaning is an evolving work in progress, constantly changing and morphing into our reality.

We choose paths in our lives influenced by powerful institutions and structures. What is our path? It is the growth intellectually that we seek in our lives? It is the choices we make to remain stagnant or to grow? Influences can be quite powerful, that they can totally consume our thinking and lead us down destructive paths. Finally circumstances sometime force us to take entirely different paths.

What we seek in our lives says volumes about our character and our values. We are primarily concerned with "me" and that fixation can drive our outlook and or desires. Life changing events can roll over just about anything, certainly our plans, our hopes and our future.

It takes a life changing event to ground us, open us to new possibilities that we did not or have not considered. For me it was a diagnoses of advance prostate cancer, at the age of forty-eight I was devastated to learn that I had this dreaded disease. The statistics say 1 in 5 men will get prostate cancer and that if a man lives long enough he will eventually get prostate cancer; it is a by-product of aging. It is a common cancer among elderly men. It is uncommon for a forty-eight year old man to get prostate cancer. Everything that you are in a physical sense is challenged. Because your primary focus now is to merely survive. I'm fifty-three now and I am a cancer survivor.

I' m not sure if you can grasp that, not knowing if you will be around five years from now can have a devastating effect on your plans and the way you view your future. When you a battling cancer you learn not to focus so much on tomorrow, but everyday you live to see is a victory and you live in the here and now. I saw the things that I wanted to accomplish fade away, they became meaningless. My focus now is on surviving my cancer. I tackled this mission with a zeal and passion that I've thrown into nearly everything I've done. This time the stakes are high. It is a battle for life or death.

It's been five years now and I am still winning the battle. I'm a survivor as we cancer survivors call ourselves. A funny thing happened to me along the way in this five year battle. I learned more than I ever knew about life. I learned about God's green earth and the many wonders that God has given us. I learned that God answers prayers because I'm still here by His grace. I learned that God's will is for us to know His word. There is comfort is spending time with Him each and every morning that I am blessed to see. I took up bike riding with my wife and got in touch with nature. I journal to the Lord each morning and meditate to Him each night. I have read the bible nearly every chapter and in the process learned more that I ever knew about the word of God and myself. I learned I needed to make changes in my life. It you ask me what is the meaning of life now? I would say that it loving God and His Son Jesus Christ. It is reaching out to others to bring them to the Body of Christ. My goal is now to be the most devoted follower of the Lord that I can be. My purpose is firm, by desire is steadfast

I refuse to accept satan’s lies based on the death of Christ for my sins, I stand Forgiven for eternity before God. I refuse any attempt to cause me to doubt what Christ has done for me. His death is sufficient payment for my transgressions- I am accepted an loved by God.

Almighty God, In Jesus Name I pray that You help me to remove any negative thoughts that may try to come into my mind such as those that may attempt to discourage me, discourage action, prosperity, faith, positive thinking, and anything else not named. This is the work of satan and I renounce, rebuke, and disarm, any attempt of satan to steal the gift of Grace that You gave me through our Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ. In Jesus name I pray according to His perfect will…… Amen.

Almighty God in Jesus Name I pray for the consistency and resiliency of Job and I pray for the strength and fortitude of Paul to run the race for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; never giving up to evil thoughts and pressing on to receive the full blessing from the work that Jesus did on the cross on Calvary. In Jesus Name I pray that circulation will be restored in my legs and swelling will go down in my legs. I pray that I will walk perfectly and that my balance will return. In Jesus name it is so. According to His will…. Amen.

If anyone believes the Holy Bible is open to many different interpretations you are wrong. God’s word literally ‘is what it is”. You can fool yourself by thinking you have it all figured out. But guess what? If you have never in your life read every book of the bible to truly understand the message, then quite frankly you are not qualified to comment on anything.

I will say this the Bible is a book about good vs evil. There is no in between. In effect you must choose which side you’re own. Almighty God, gave his only Son, Jesus Christ, who gave his life for all of us so that we would have safe refuge from our sins, inequities, and transgressions. All we need to do is accept Jesus Christ through confession to him of our sins, transgressions, and inequities. Confess that we are sinners and that you want him to come into your life.

When you do this you will have eternal life even when your physical body is no longer here. Jesus Christ died to overcome this sinful world. There is sin all around us. Decadence, moral decay, and everything that is an abomination to God.
The best thing you can do is study the bible, know its message and be careful to ask the Lord to send the Holy Spirit to give you the discernment you will need to understand the powerful verses and stories in the bible. The more time you give to God, the more understanding he gives to you.

You don’t have to work to be save and receive the gift of eternal life, all you have to do is ask Jesus to come into your life. No matter what you have done, where you been, the shame that has permeated your life, means nothing to Him. You can become a new person by simply asking Jesus Christ to come into your life and you accept Jesus as the Lord of your life. It is His gift of Grace to you.

He made the supreme sacrifice for you on a hill called Calvary a long time ago, so that you would have the opportunity to ask Him to come into your life at anytime. If you have not done so, you can do it right now. Time is running out. Don’t die and leave this earth without doing so. The Lord’s tent is big, it does not matter what you have done, the Lord will accept you, anyone, right here, right now.

A good movie to watch to understand God love for you through His Son, Jesus Christ, is ‘The Passion of the Christ“,buy it or rent it today and then start reading the bible from Genesis to Revelations. Understanding will come to you through God’s grace.

If you are ready right now to be saved, say this prayer.
“Heavenly Father, have mercy on me, a sinner. I believe in you and that your word is true. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God and that he died on the cross so that I may now have forgiveness for my sins and eternal life. We can fret over our life circumstance. Yet in most situations it does absolutely no good to fret or worry.

We must learn to wait patiently on the Lord to act in His own time and In His own way. This directive requires that we grow our faith. That we rely on the promises of the Lord to know that he will eventually act. In His own time and in His own way.

Rick Perry's Day of Prayer

I tuned into the internet stream of Governor Rick Perry's Event and I can honestly say that it was not political, but spiritual, giving honor and glory to the Lord and our Savior Jesus Christ. It's about living for the purpose of Almighty God.

The event was an opportunity to give praise and honor to the Lord. I am not a Republican by any means, but I am drawn to the message of giving praise, honor and glory to the Lord. Any mean-spirited, judgmental exercise is not appropriate, God would not condone such behavior.
Jesus addressed this issue of Prideful Judgement behavior by saying these words in Matthew 7: 5- You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.

Speakers emphasized we much get our own house in order, rather than point fingers at others. If all of us did this, we would find that the world would live morally and walk in the light of Lord. All of us have fallen short of the glory of the Lord. But we must take a stand for the Lord God Almighty.
We must stand up for Jesus, in the face of attacks from everyone. His name is precious and His name is wonderful and He can do the same for your life.
You tried everything else in the evil world, why not try Him? Almighty God is all inclusive and includes everyone on this earth.

Your home is with the Lord, confess your sins ask, Jesus to come into your life right here right now and come back home to Him today. Nothing in this world can give you the peace of mind that you'll experience by doing this.... don't trust me, trust the Lord Today.

Released From the Bondage of the Past

Even when we are faced with destructive cycles and behavior from our childhood, that same behavior can cause trouble when we are adults and embark on raising our own family. These ingrained and learned behaviors and ways of thinking, can hinder you from becoming all that God created you to be. They are liabilities that are passed down, because they are never given to God, who can certainly heal them.

You can certainly break the cycle of learned and taught behavior , by asking God to remove this burden from you and show you a different way to live your life. Everything God teaches is right and pure and certainly correct. The Lord will give you the strength you need to be released from emotional and generational bondage.

You need not be impeded by mistakes, beliefs, or destructive learned behavior passed down by your ancestors. Don't let those liabilities linger any longer. Let God make you part of his family, healthy, holy and free.

God you know the failings of my family and how they have affected me. Heal me and teach me to live in a manner worthy of your name. Amen.

God Works Together With Those Who Love Him To Bring About Good

satan, has a plan and the plan is not a secret, you should know it. You should be aware of it. He does not hide it. He pulls out the blueprint for its implementation nearly everyday. So this is not something that he hides from you. He proudly and mockingly comes at you using every means at his disposal. What is it? He wants to destroy you. He wants to beat you down, take away your faith in God. Take way your pledge to live a sin free existence through Christ Jesus and to have you back slide and return to living your life on, or introduce you to the dark side of life.

He might try to shatter your hopes and recruit junior demons to harass you. Come at you with accusations , filth and other garbage that only he can manufacture. The difference is we have the full armor, we have the power through Christ to put satan in his place anytime, anyplace. Because no scheme devised by satan or any other man, can foil those plans that the Lord has in store for you.
Take up your weapon now, claim you prize through Christ and Fight with your faith and the word of God. Put on the Full Armor.

God has spoken concerning an issue that is very important to you an He’s given you a promise that resonates deep within your soul. You know it is from Him because His word confirms it and His deep peace fills you when you pray.

Thank God, right here, right now, that His promises to you are completely unbreakable and that the obstacles before you, traps laid by satan are nothing to you.

Jesus Is The Way, The Truth and The Life

This is a powerful message, study it, believe it, it will protect us all from the sin and decadence of the world, where the media, sinful people, and nearly everyone, are trying desperately to turn us are away from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You know the institutions, you know those who believe this and their beliefs. I don't need to outline or identify them for you. You know sin when you see it. If it is uncomfortable and you feel something pulling at your heart, or that inner voice inside of you, the activity you are engaging in is sin. Take hold of this message and it will save you from satan's plot to destroy you with the decadence of the world. satan will take your life and your soul with the tools of the world.

Encouragement to Be Faithful

Remember Jesus Christ, raised form the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God's word is not chained. Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect that they to may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

A Workman Approved By God

Keep reminding them about these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words: it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen. Do your best to present yourself before God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. Avoid Godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly. Their teaching will spread like gangrene.

A Physical Assault Is an Opportunity for God To Show His Power In Your Life

I write today about a physical assault, it could be any sickness or disease that attacks us with or without our knowledge. Our house is literally broken into, but our alarm system is powerful, it is is manned 24/7 by Almighty God, who has a plan for us despite our circumstances and foils the attack of the intruder. It is no random rescue, yes this one is calculated and laced with precision. You see Almighty God has a plan for everyone facing any devastating sickness. But you must take heed to the message and know that God has saved you from satan's assault on your body so that you will draw near and close to Him.

The fact that the sickness was discovered in your body is enough evidence for you to know that God is protecting you and is on the case. God wants you to remember that there is a purpose for your life and that is to draw ever closer to Him. Say Amen! Give thanks and all glory and honor to the Lord and get busy telling everyone about Almighty God and his Son and our Savior Jesus Christ! That your purpose, you finally have received a wake up call that you cannot ignore. Remember God is Good and His mercy endures forever.

God Has Absolute And Perfect Moral Control Over His Creation

God has Moral control and authority over this universe. He does not follow or hold to any earthly government's moral authority or moral thoughts. God's is bigger than that, He controls absolutely everything in his creation, even the laws and precepts, that earthly nations have set forth. This is not easy for us to understand, but it is a concept that is etched in the reality of our existence.

We may not always understand what God is doing, and God does not have to tell us. What we must train ourselves to understand, that God works for the good of those, who love the Lord and are called according to His will.

Listen For God's Instruction

You know we waste all our time trying to be the best. The world is so vile and destructive that we waste our time engaging in destructive activity. Trying to be the best, trying to compete. You know what, Almighty God, Our Father, has already designated each one of us the best. We don't have to compete anymore for meaningless worldly accolades. He accepts us for who we are, what we are, and it's just enough for Him to Know we are His Children.

So the next time you find yourself competing to be the best, just be the best you can be. God already has a plan for you and it will come to fruition. God has a plan for you, all He ask is for you to grow to be the best you can be in Christ. If you do that, God will take your talent and mode it for the Glory of His Kingdom. God Loves and Cares for you, that's why you do not need to compete against earthly foes, but rather perform to the best of your ability, for the Glory of God...... Now that is Sweet Love!

In God's Own Time and In God's Own Way

You know the Lord works in His on time. I been contemplating and studying that concept for that last few days. Not only that, I've been thinking about request that we make to Him. You know, mundane request, about please help me out of this situation or that. Could be life and death healing situations. Whatever the case, we sometimes don't get an immediate response. I'm like, God, where are you? Shame on me for asking.

As I contemplated, where God was. Why was He not answering my prayer? I continued to study and meditate and the answer came to me over a series of daily readings. God is always with us, in the mist of a Storm, Yesterday He was with us, and because God is all knowings and omnipresent, He's even with us in the present, the past and the future. He is literally everywhere at once. So His Son Jesus Christ has prepared the path of Salvation for us and by Grace we are saved. So if it appears that our prayer is not being answered; guess what? God is on the case, He is right there next to you as you read this, He's with me right now as I write this. He's with us always, Yesterday, Today and Forever.

So the next time you find yourself doubting God, maybe even doubting his existence. Remember He is with us as we go through each trail and the answer to your prayer may not come today, tomorrow, or even this month, but trust me He hears you and your prayer will be answered In God's Own Time and In God's Own Way.

Simply Your Way Out!

Did you know God gave you the gift of salvation through His Son Jesus Christ before you were even born? He cared enough for you that He gave his only Son, who died on Calvary for the sole purpose of giving His life so you and all of us would have the gift of salvation and eternal life! It was and is a gift of absolute grace. We don't have to work for it, We don't have to take a study course and memorize everything in order to have Salvation. It is finished and done through Jesus Christ. That, my friend is all it is to it. You only have one thing to do, acknowledge the work that Jesus did on the cross for you and in prayer, ask Him to come into your life and renounce your life as a sinner.

You know we have all fell short of the Glory of the Lord and we are all sinners. The Good News of Jesus Christ is the Gift he gave us by dying on the cross on Calvary, which released us from satan's hold on our lives. That's the Good News of Jesus Christ! God expects us to honor Him and confess our sins that we commit, but nevertheless we are saved the minute that we pray and ask Jesus Christ to come into our hearts our minds, and our lives. We will stumble, and fall short of the glory of God. But we have a clear way out through Jesus Christ.

Father, I come to you through your Son and Our Savior Jesus Christ, who died on Calvary for My Salvation. God Directs Our Path In Times of Need

No matter how rocky the road we can always go back to the principles that brought us this far. A deep abiding trust in the Lord is a very present help in a time of need. God gives us signs that He is still working on our behalf through his works in our life. Take heed and do not discount his blessings. They are signs from the Lord. They are promises of good things to come. We cannot see the future, but the Lord can lead and guide us through each and every challenge.

Give It Up For The Lord

It's time for us to give it all up for the Lord. You know we give lips service, professing that we love the Lord and all that. You know what I'm talking about. "True That". Claiming that we are emerged in the Lord and His word, but in reality were infatuated with the world. You know God remembers when we neglect the things God holds dear, humility, honesty, trust, Jesus Christ, love, care, commitment, reverence, praise and the ability to live spirit filled lives.

So we must give it up for the Lord, let him be part of our house, which is His House. Our bodies belong to Him and we should respect that. If you are not ready, you're taking a chance, because Jesus Christ can come back at anytime........the Bible says like a thief in the night. It want be predicted, as a false profit suggested in May 2011. Let us be willing now to go in service of the Lord, right here, right now! It time to give it up for the Lord.

We find ourselves challenged and confronted with life circumstances. I am not immune. Yet I'm not worried, I am calm and reserved that GOD HAS MY BACK. When satan attemps to surprise you with implementation of pot holds in your life....................it like a heavy weight boxer just floored you.

That would be a diagnoses, the death of a love one, or some other tragic event. But those of us who have grown our faith, know that God is with us and he will never give us more than we can bear.

But we must do our part, have unbreakable faith, so when the knockout punch comes from sickness, we can overcome. Receive the legacy that Jesus Christ left for us on Calvary.

A legacy of HEALING. Isaiah 53: 5 is clear it says. "He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities. The chastening for our well being fell upon Him and BY HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED.

He able to open doors when it appears that we have no doors open. So our ride through this life will not be void of difficulties, but we will have victories in this life through Jesus Christ. Enough to keep us going until we reach our eternal life in the Kingdom of God. Almighty God I want to thank you for the little things you do for me that somehow I do not take the time to notice. Just when I think that my prayers are not being answered you send help from the most unlikely person. In fact that person is someone I consider an enemy.

Analyze Advice and Be Sure It Is From The Lord

Often we pray about a situation that were in and we ask the Lord for answers in getting out of that situation. Answers can come from many sources, a friend, a relative, an acquaintance. When we get a solution from one of these sources we believe that God orchestrated this response. We must ask the Lord to verify and validate solution. Before we act on the advice, give it to the Lord, pray to Him to analyze the advice, then be still and wait for the answer. It will be difficult, and it might not come to you easily.

Don't just assume that advice from a friend, acquaintance, are even your Pastor, is from the Lord.

Each day we are reminded of a constant struggle to deal with the unknown and some cases to deal with a known adversary. It may be a boss at work that is constantly criticizing you, constantly in your path to success. Constantly trying to bring you down. It can be be demoralizing and cause you to lose faith. But we know one thing that we can always lean on, that is the love and care of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ even in the midst of the storm or assault.

We will always be challenged. We will always face difficulties, and satan always enlist agents sent to torment you and to bring you down. They lie in wait to position themselves for attack. Because Jesus overcame the world, you have a spiritual body guard; someone who will stand up to your adversary; give you the means, the strength and the battle plan to fight back. Remember no one can defeat you when you have Jesus Christ. He will fight your battles no matter what. Just trust in Him and remember His promises in the midst of the battle and the Lord will see you through.

Imagine if you had a faith card that resembled a debit card. If you had plenty of faith built up on your card you could tackle any problem. Or if you had just a measure of faith you could move any mountain. It really doesn't matter how much faith you have on your proverbial card; Almighty God, through the Holy Spirit helps you to build your faith, even though you have little of it. God helps you through situation despite your unbelief.

So the message here is that if you have faith it must be built up and faith must be maintained. Always keep your faith card filled, even with just a measure of faith and God will always see you through any of life's difficult situations.

My father, who would be known today as an "Old School Minister", used this slogan often and it is so relevant not only to my life, but to the lives of many of you. "He may not get there when you want him to, but He is always, right on time". Have you ever been in a dire situation, perhaps you were laid off and down to you last month of income to pay your bills, you did not know what you're going to do? The challenges seemed to constantly pile on caused and you stretch your hand to the Lord and ask Him to come to your rescue and to see you through. You see I, have and that is my story. The Lord opened a door and gave me a job, which will allow me to pay my bills.

Perhaps you have been praying constantly for intervention from the Lord and He came through after quite sometime of constant prayer. He came though in ways that you never imagined. Because you can't imagine or use human logic to explain what God will do and how God will do it. That's the beauty of God's Plan. He foiled even the best laid plans of man. You see our lives are a blueprint and a spiritual story in which Almighty God is the architect of our spiritual building.

You see God sees the total picture in building the purpose for our lives and He uses our circumstances for the good in order to advance His purpose. Sometimes he does not answer a prayer. There's generally three ways he can answer our prayer request. He can do it. He can say no. He can say wait. There is a reason he uses any one of those responses. It is not for us to figure out. Don't try, you're merely wasting your time. No one knows why God allows a trying circumstance to continue. Only He knows the absolute plan. But know this; God will never leave you or forsake you. He may not get there when you want Him to, but he is always right on time.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

Why We Really Celebrate Christmas

During this Christmas season we are reminded of why we are celebrating this great day. The Day that Jesus Christ was born. We should not take it lightly because Christ's birth marked the first day of his assignment to live as we lived, experience the emotions that we felt, and more importantly, complete His ministry on earth to free us from the chains of the 'Law of Sin and Death.

Christ did so much more for us than just to live as a man on earth. Yes he had earthly empathy for us, but he also knew the challenges that we faced. Even though he was with God from the very beginning, God sent His only Son to free us from this Fallen World and defeat satan. He accomplished that goal on Calvary, where he died a violent death on the cross, but the accomplishment offer us all the greatest gift that any of us will ever receive. The gift of eternal life. A gift of grace. It is a gift freely given to us if we accept Christ as our Savior. When Christ said "It is Finished" on the cross he meant it. The gift of eternal life is there for anyone who asks for it and ask for Jesus to be the Lord and Savior of their lives.

The next time someone ask,be sure to remind them of why we really celebrate Christmas. It is not for the gifts, the pageantry, the toys or any of that. It is something more eternal than that; Christmas celebrates the birth of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Christ who overcame the world. Christ "Who is the way the truth and the light".

Thank you Jesus, For your supreme sacrifice on Calvary and your gift of Salvation. You overcame the world and we can overcome the world as well through You.

Giving Your Life To The Lord

It's easy to say, "I'll go wherever you go", we often make false promises to God. That is promises that we do not have the commitment to keep. It is easy to say you want His will over your own. This requires sacrifice, confession, and a heart molded after our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It requires leaving behind our habits, our wants, our dislikes, and taking up the cross for the Lord. We can't have one foot in this secular world and one foot supposedly in God's world. It going to require a spiritual sacrifice, giving your life to Christ means making a total commitment. Are you ready to make that step for the Lord?

Are you ready for a spiritual makeover. Ask Jesus to come into your life. Confess your sins and give the honor and glory to Him. Let Him know that you are ready to serve, wherever He deems necessary.

A Mind "Gone Rogue"

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5

We must guard against 'Rogue" thoughts that enter our mind and cause us to take actions or develop ideas that are against the knowledge of God.

We often feel and act passively about our thoughts; we feel thoughts and emotions are a normal thing and we have no control over them. On the contrary we do. Our mind is not a loose cannon able to run freely and deposit unwholesome thoughts that can ultimately destroy us.

God in His wisdom, gave us weapons to recognize when our mind has strayed away from the teachings of God. He said we must "hold every thought captive". We have that ability. The most powerful weapon that satan has in his toolbox is to capture our mind.

Think about it, how often do you struggle with controlling your thoughts? It is a constant struggle. Primarily because you are not exercising the shield of faith that God has given to you.

Ephesians 10: 13 " Put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may stand your ground, after you have done everything to stand.

We are in spiritual warfare against the devil, do not forget that, and his main tactic is to take control of our minds. You must be constantly equipped with spiritual weapons to fight the schemes of the devil

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

Let God, be God. Do not try to take matters completely in your own hand. It is a balancing act that we must perform. Do what you can do; everything humanly possible, and then step back and let the Lord do what he needs to do to move us through each situation.

We must have faith in the Lord, so that he can lead us through each situation. We only have human logic, which is muddled, confused, and often tainted with confusion. God's logic is His and His only. Trust in God and lean not on your own understanding.

Learning To Live With Adversity

When adversity strikes what do you do? Do you run for cover or do you hunker down and face the culprit with the grit and determination from deep inside. There are a number of ways people deal with adversity. Some deal with it with a tenacity that is unsurpassed and will not accept failure. Other simply run away and hide and give up. It is not easy dealing with a terminal diagnoses, a job loss, or the death of a loved one. All are devastating events that shake us to our very core.

The experts give us sound advice. Do not deny that the event occurred. Accept that it occurred, so that you can move on. This is the standard advice. But most adversity is on going and it will simply not go away overnight. It will linger for quite sometime, perhaps even years. No matter what the adversity, you must have a game plan. I have found that the best way to deal with adversity is to develop an inner peace that in many cases is unexplainable. That is you are able to live and function above your on going circumstance. It is the ability to function in a perpetual peace despite the physical turmoil that is going on in and around you.

It is a zone and a state, that you must develop. This is the first step in overcoming adversity. You can only find this peace through Jesus Christ. Try to know Him and he will show you peace.

Our faith can be constantly tested and challenged as we know the the enemy roams to and fro across the earth. satan is looking for opportunities to foil our plans. Stop us in our tracks. To tilt the scales through us through deceit and deception. Don't let him win! Despite our challenges we can live victoriously through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He already defeated satan on Calvary and His protection is ours if we only ask for it.

We will still be menaced by satan, but it is all taunting and a nuisance, they call it trash talk today. If you don't know Christ, you can give in to this nonsense, because you don't know better. You know satan would like to do nothing more than destroy you even if he's not powerful enough to do it! It is a game of deception and though Jesus Christ you can win. Through Christ you can be saved, born again, and have eternal salvation!

We will go through many season in our life. I am particularly fond of the song, Its a New Season. One of the stanza in the song says, 'Its a new season, it's a new day, a fresh anointing in coming your way. We have many season in our lives. Season of hope, season of despair. A season of a new beginning. So we must learn to accept and live above our current circumstance. It is primarily because we could be in a down season, a depressed economy or job loss, you know your situation.

One thing we all must hold on to is the unyielding love of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. We need to embrace the season of challenge or hope, whatever it may be. We should gleam any knowledge from it that we can and trust God to Be Who he is...Able to do anything but fail.

The Apostle Paul learned through many difficult circumstances that he could rely on Jesus. His convictions guided him and caused him to know that nothing could separate him from the love of Christ. We often feel like time is running out, we're in the fourth quarter of the game and we have one last shot to win the game. It is the same in life, the promises of the Lord Jesus Christ is always there to give us hope in the worst of circumstances.

God promises that His Word will not return void (Isaiah 55:11). Because of that promise, we know that as we study, meditate on, and memorize Bible verses, God will use them to bear fruit (show progress and prosperity in your life). The Bible is intended for more than just reading. God gave it to help us transform our hearts and lives.

John 4:24- While you may desire a familiar place to worship, Jesus points out that worship is not a matter of location or position, but of the spirit, (meaning you can worship the Lord at anytime or at any place). If you focus too much on the time and place, there is a danger that worship will over shadow the one you worship (Almighty God and His son Jesus Christ).

We worship in the spirit because “God is Spirit”. So we should relate to him in Spirit (your thoughts and understanding of spiritual ideas and direction ). God gives you this understanding as you draw closer to him and seek his word. God’s divine nature is a mystery at first. With the stresses that the world puts on us, the pressure that we are subjected to, the so called politically correct things we are instructed to do, this sinful world that we live in is satan's workshop to conform us to his thinking. Make no mistake; satan is out to not only destroy you, but to destroy the world. Nothing in this world is good, nothing in this world can give you hope, salvation or security. So we must be diligent to not allow ourselves to be conformed and molded to the sinful shape of the world. We must be diligent in our work of transforming our minds and and our walk in life to the shape and purpose of the Lord.

Despite this charge, that is our purpose; to renew our minds, transform our minds on daily basis, by staying in the word, meditating on the word, hearing the word, hearing and hearing the word, over and over again. That is our unique purpose though our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

You do this by studying the word of God through the Holy Bible, not just on Sunday, you don't have to dress up to be transformed! Jesus will accept you , "Just As You Are". Yes you can get right out bed and work on transforming your mind. Before you get dressed for work, you can transform you mind. Don't wait for Sunday to do this. Work on it every single day, for the rest of your life here on earth, so that you will prove to everyone, wherever you go the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Strange As it Seems

Despite all that we face in this evil world, we still will not erase the hand of God. God's hand is everywhere. His hand is there because he has a plan for us through His Son and our Savior Jesus Christ. We don't need a panel of experts on CNN to figure that out. No, the bible is our expert. We don't need an equal panel of analyst, representing every political party; one republican and one democrat for equal representation. No, the Lord already decreed that His word is true and correct. It is what it is!

Yet we go through life searching for any fad we can lay our hands on. Miracle diets, cosmetic surgery, all because we do not like the way we look. We do not like the body template that Lord gave us. So we destroy our bodies, the way God made us,because we live for this world, this fallen world.

Strange as it seems we rely on everything ungodly to make us godly.
Strange as it seems we call good bad and bad good.
Strange as it seems we destroy anything that God's law mandate, so that we can discredit it.
Strange as it seems we don't believe that Jesus Christ already gave us everlasting life.
Strange as is seems we worship political correctness.
Strange as it seems we don't believe that Jesus is Lord.
Strange as it seems we do not believe that Jesus Loves and cares for us.
Strange as it seems God Loves us and His Son Jesus Christ Loves Us.
Strange as it seems Nothing can ever separate us from the Love and Care of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We will all answer to God in the end, whether you believe that or not. He will look at how we conducted our lives, the contributions you made or did not make, and how you lived your life. But first and foremost He will want to know one thing; Did You accept His Son and Our Savior Jesus Christ as the Lord of your life? Only through Christ Can you Know the Father. Come to Christ today.... before it is too late!

Only The Strong Survivie

My father once preached a sermon entitled Looking Back/Only The Strong Survive. The title came from a hit single from Jerry Butler 1969 hit entitled "Only The Strong Survive" He borrowed the titled for the text and body of his sermon. Though it was a secular song, the words were meaningful.

The song focused on how a mother consoled her son, after the girl that he loved left him. She told her son there will be a lot of trouble in your life, but just hold out and everything will be alright.

The sermon touched on the key point that we need to be "Strong" in the Lord's will and in his word. "Survival" means that we need to be over comers in this fallen world. To learn to live above our circumstances as we make our way through life's pitfalls and setbacks. We need to have Jesus love and care in order to weather the storm and have the reality of survival through Jesus Christ. Yes only the strong survive through Jesus Christ and Almighty God.

Ask the Lord to lead you and guide you to the right church home, with the right atmosphere and filled with the spirit of the Lord. This is the most important thing you can do. Pick up a bible and read it from cover to cover. Then read it again, and then study each individual verse. A good test is to listen to what is said by friends and go back and test it by the word of God. You will know if it is from the Lord. You owe it to yourself to spend time with the Lord for direction for guidance and for your salvation.

In all things related to Christ it is important that we remember to keep our eye on the ultimate long term goal. That is; developing and nurturing a life that guarantees our eternal salvation through Jesus Christ. In our daily impatience in dealing with corporate profits in the secular world, we sometimes lose sight of the eternal vision that we have through Jesus Christ, even in our dealings in the secular world.

In business we have short term and long term goals. In our zeal to obtain profits we sometimes take our eye off of our long term goals in order to satisfy a short term commitment to shareholders. We see it all the time in business. This type of reckless thinking and behavior shortchanges everyone in the organization, because it jeopardizes their success and undermines the financial stability of the company.

We are an impatient society, we want results and we want it now. We do not worry about the future. This impatience is not a virtue. We always need to move forward with long term goals in place and work toward insuring that we are doing things now not to undermine that outcome, but to insure it becomes a reality.

God Set Before Us An Open Door

God has a plan for us and he set before us an open door. We need to be prepared to first see the opportunity and know for sure that is from God. So we need to pray for discernment. Remove any impure thoughts and insure that this direction is from God. Sometimes we are challenged to make the right decision; but if we wait on the Lord he will open a door for us.

It could be you have lost your job. You are facing an illness, or you have lost a love one. God often opens doors in our lives to help us through these difficult circumstances. God is a good God. The Act of Giving Take on Many Forms

Jesus is the supreme example of generosity. He gave his own life on Calvary for our salvation. This is the foundation and baseline for us to follow. He did not give money. He gave His own life which is the ultimate sacrifice. Now countless people who accept Christ as their Savior can have eternal life.

We live in very difficult times. Many of us have lost jobs, or most are afraid of losing their jobs. So income is a commodity that we need to function in this world. However the grace of Jesus will provide for us and when you do not have income, you can give in other areas, by telling friends and co-workers about the Good News of Jesus Christ. Perhaps there is a family in your neighborhood that s struggling and need food, a job lead, or a hand up. This is the type of giving that the Lord favors.

I was laid off in December and have no job after 30 years of working for a newspaper company. My blog is my gift to you in service to the Lord in spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. I do not worry about tomorrow, because I know that that the Lord will provide for all our needs. If we make the effort to provide for our families, God will provide for us. Likewise we need to do all we can to spread the Good News of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. it is an act of giving. Proverbs 11:24, 25

Anxious? God Can Conquer Anything and He Will Not Fail

When we focus our attention on God and trust that His word is true, we can find peace in place of anxiety. God can take care of anything, any situation, in each and every trial that we face in life. He will not fail to open doors and remedy our situation. It does not matter what the trial is, God cannot fail. His word is His bond to us. He Can Do Anything But Fail.

To not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. You can do anything you need to do with Christ. With Christ you cannot fail. If you are feeling anxious, remember that God's purpose is to protect defend, and provide for us. He promised never to leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).

Jesus said to his disciples, “Peace be Still”, and the waters were calmed. Those were powerful words of reassurance and an instructions to the disciples to rely on their faith in Jesus. We find ourselves leaning safe and secure from all alarm. Just like Jesus calmed the waters in a storm, He will calm our waters in the face of adversity. You know what I'm talking about. All of us have our adversities, our circumstances have a number of ways to cause havoc in our lives. We could be dealing with numerous adversities at the same time throughout our lives. How do we confront challenges that seemingly overwhelm us, take control of us, and cause our faith to be tested. Paul faced adversity ( 1 Corinthians 11: 24-23) Paul received;

1.Five stripes minus one
2.He was beaten with rods three times
3.He was stoned
4.He was shipwrecked three times
5.Paul suffered many perils
6.He ultimately gave his life for the Lord

There are many other challenges that can resign you to in action in adversity, a job loss, loss of a love one, or what ever you are facing. Cast of anchor, and fight the wind. You know you are in the storm because God wants you to learn a lesson. Remove yourself by keeping the faith, listening to and studying the word and through positive action. Above all live and function above the storm and your circumstances. That's how you defeat the storms of life, by resting in the Lord of Jesus Christ through Faith. The Lord may not remove your adversity, but he will give you the spirit to ignore it and achieve the growth through faith that only he can provide.

We Cannot Control Life

What drives your belief system? What characteristics make up your value system? Perhaps it may take you a while to truly analyze this question. This is not a test and you will not be graded on it. It is merely food for thought in arriving at a mental diagnostic test of your belief priorities. It is not easy taking an inventory of the inner most feelings and emotions that control us and have a high priority in pursuit of a “call to action” in our life.

When we make a decision we expect that our decisions are sound, because our life experience has taught us that they are. A popular notion is “The best predictor of what someone will do in the future is the behavior that person has shown in the past”. All things considered, this is a sound hypothesis. It has been used many times and often employed when selecting a job candidate or when making an important decision.

We operate in these areas at a handicap; that is we do to have the ability to see into the future; we can only make predictions, based on hypothesis. Our ability to make decisions and expect the desired outcome is less than zero percent. That is a very low, almost non existent success rate. Yet that is how we make our decisions in life. It is without a doubt trial and error; in fact much error.

So where does that leave us? How can we insure that we can choose a direction that will be beneficial to us all? We can’t insure our success. We do not have that ability. So we search through life trying to acquire that ability. Perhaps it is some fad diet program that put us on some sure fire regime that will help us lose pounds and discover our inner self. Maybe we decide to sign up for some success seminar featuring people who have been quite successful in life. Often they have reached the pinnacle for success. We try their program and we experience some success, but it is by no means reliable or sustainable.

Most things in life our fleeting. By now you should get the gist if this excerpt; it shows that we are lost in controlling our satisfaction and for that matter; our destiny. Is it such a great idea to rely on worldly trends, fads and direction, when it in fact leads you nowhere and does nothing for you in guaranteeing happiness? A popular expression is “No one said that life would be easy”? Are how about this one: There are no guarantees in life?

There is one thing that IS guaranteed. It is often overlooked. It can put you on a career track. You may never know what the future holds, but you will have a guaranteed ticket for eternal life; not just here on earth, but for eternity. How would you like to remove all worry? I’m not taking about removing life’s problems; you will always have them, because we live in a fallen world (more to come on this in another blog).

You cannot run from problems, but you can learn to live with them and live in abundance. I call it “Living Above Your Circumstances”. Almighty God by his grace gave us his only Son, Jesus Christ who died on Calvary long time ago. He took back the keys to these earths that were stolen from us when Adam the first man disobeyed God. The only way to take back God’s gift was to give us the gift of grace by sacrificing his only Son, Our Savior, Jesus Christ, who died on Calvary for our sins. Doing that final act Jesus eliminated worry. He gave us peace to live above our circumstances on this earth. He made it possible for us to have eternal life. He gave us the deluxe package. You do not have to pay a fee to get this service. You do not sign a contract or a wavier. The service will never be revoked. There will never be an adjustment for inflation. You don’t have to worry about missing the deadline to act. It is a standing offer. All you have to do in confess your sins to Jesus and ask Him to come into your life and accept him as Your Savior.

It is a gift of Grace. A gift of love. Ask Him today. Pick up a copy of the Holy Bible and read it from cover to cover. The Holy Spirit and God's Son Jesus will come to live within you and give you the discernment that you will need to face any challenge that life puts in front of you. All you have to do is step out in Faith and believe in Jesus. Remember; “No one comes to the Father (Almighty God) except through Jesus Christ”.

God Shapes and Guides Our Life For Good

Often we are challenged to understand why God allows certain things to happen in our lives. Sometime we question these things. It is a normal process. God allowed his Son Jesus Christ to suffer greatly so that we would have eternal salvation. So it stands to reason that we will suffer as well. It is God's prerogative to control and guide our lives. However, we know that whatever our circumstances, God uses our situation for good in our lives.

I faced a diagnoses of cancer, later was laid off from my job, and lost my health insurance. Sometimes it seems the roof can cave in right on us. It happened to me. However, God's Grace through His Son Jesus Christ is sufficient for me to withstand the storms of life. Even though I am faced with these challenges I know that God provides for us despite dire circumstances that may confront us in this life.

I learned that we own nothing in this world. It all belong to God and when cannot determine how God will make provision for us, or what earthly instrument, institution or individual that he will use to remedy our situation. All we can do is grow our faith by hearing and hearing the word of God and trusting God to work the miracle of grace in our lives.

Undertanding and Applying Gods Word Is Key to Restoring God's Word In Your Life

In order to grow in God's word we need to do more. Yes work is required to get the full benefits of the Gods word. "But be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves..... he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does." (James 1:22, 25).

You need to study God's word and seek ways to apply it to your life. Practice helps you to solidify the impact of God's word in your life. With repetition it becomes a viable and power force which can help you to obey his word consistently.

Keep score. Record you victories, so that you will have a record of your success and you will begin to see the powerful force of the word of God in your life.

A Prayer

I know you Father. I know you are good all the time. Sometimes I get anxious, allow satan to cause me to fear. The world's pressures try to overtake me and I find myself in sin and in alienation. The evil one is here to kill, steal, and destroy. That's the way he rolls. Father, forgive me for it all. For it is sin.

I know that I am a child of God and Jesus is my Savior and I am a member of the Body of Christ. I rest on the tremendous blessings that You have given me.........Time and Time again. I know that you are able. Although I cannot see ahead of me, I can remember the faith formula that brought me through each and every trial and tribulation. Wait and trust in You. In Your Own Time, My Change Will Come. I walk by Faith, Not by sight.

I must stay in your word and do not under any circumstance give in to thoughts, reasoning, and imaginations of the mind. Father forgive me. I will wait on you to carry me through to raise me up above my current circumstance. I ask it all in Jesus name I pray. Amen!

Gather your notes, mortgages, credit card debts, past due bills , delinquent taxes and any other debt you possess and boldly declare God's Authority. You speak these WORD OUT LOUD, as directed by God's word.

Jesus came to save the world and we are recipients of His Gift of Grace. You must understand that this is more than just one casual statement. He came to erase the sins of the man and woman and give us a way to find everlasting life through Him. The act of freely giving of Himself to die on Calvary is one of immense courage that we could never fully comprehend. We do not possess the courage and honor of this one Man, who came to earth as a man so that He could save us from our Sins.

He did not come with stipulations, He came with a simple requirement; that we freely acknowledge Him and ask for His forgiveness. That's it; and then we would have the gift of Eternal Life. A Gift of Grace. Yet we go about our lives as if He does not exist. We debate the merits of Jesus Life and whether He is the Messiah. Yes, He is the Messiah. The Son that God sent to free man of the Sins of the world.

You know Jesus is in you, whether you know it or not and He loves you no matter what sin you have committed. He just wants you to return to the Body of Christ and away from the sins of the world. You know if you have sinned. There are a number of ways that you can do it. satan devised so many ways for it to happen. All one has to do look at the paper, turn on the evening news, fire up the Internet, and navigate to your home page, and you will no doubt find, news riddled with the sinful acts of man. Jesus came to rid you from all of that.

Yet we do all we can to uphold sinful standards, distort reasonings, call bad good, and good bad. We worship sinful acts and say Jesus is not real. We say God is not real. But there is a price we pay for such blatant sinful behavior. There is a price for the lack of salvation. Jesus gave his life, violently so that we would have a way to renounce our sins and have eternal life. A fleeting moment of pleasure here on earth is not worth an eternity of damnation.

Examine yourself, your life. Is is right by the Lord Jesus Christ? Is it right by God? If the answer is no, then you have a choice. You can ask Jesus to come into your life, right here, right now, and erase all the sin and decadence you have done. Try doing something for Jesus, after all he gave His life on Calvary for your sins; a gift of Grace. All you have to do in prayer is ask Him to forgive you for your sins, transgressions, and inequities. Ask Him to come into your life and be the Lord and Savior of your Life and He will come along with the Holy Spirit to live within you. It's your choice, you can do it today! It's up to you! The only way to the Lord God Almighty is through Jesus Christ. Do it now before its too late!

We Must Forgive

The Bible clearly instructs us to forgive and to forget. This is a directive that we must work hard to follow. The results of nurturing feelings of vengeance is not good, because we fall into disfavor with the Lord. In order to truly analyze why we feel that we must participate in the acts of self pity and victimization, we must understand the roots of holding grudges.

It is natural but unwholesome inclination to seek revenge for a wrong someone committed against us. It is a powerful urge, that sometimes drives and consume our minds, and our hearts. Even when we finally "pay the person back" for their wrong, it still does not erase the urge for revenge. We find ourselves returning back to the thoughts of the slight. This is no way to live.

We must learn to let God have any revenge and try to forgive those who slighted us. It is the only way to release ourselves from the albatross that stagnates our growth in the Lord and His word. We should never willingly place ourselves out of spiritual alignment with God by refusing to forgive those who have offended and perhaps hurt us. It will not be easy, but it will not help in any way to nurture feelings of unforgiveness.

Seek God First And Your Earthly Provisions Will Increase

"The scriptures say, seek first the kingdom of God and all the things will be added to you" Matthew 6:33

The Bible says seek first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added to you. God expects us in whatever we decide to do, to do it for the honor and glory of His word and His kingdom. God wants us to prosper and He has set out a plan for us to have the resources needed to the benefit of His Kingdom.

Our charge is to know that all things we do must be done for the honor and glory of God. When we do this, all things will be added to you, says His Son and Our Savior Jesus Christ. This is what our mission is on earth. It is not to accumulate wealth. "Being broke is the current condition of your finances." It is not a life long condition of your life. That means that God operates with unlimited resources for us to use for the honor, glory, and promotion of His Word.

So we should not place earthly value on money, how we will live, what we will eat. We must do Kingdom work, and money, resources, will be added to us. Your charge is in prayer to determine what your kingdom work is and when you do that, there is not need to worry or fret about your finances; God has got your back in that area and you will be prosperous. Lack should not have a hold over your. We should rule over lack, by seeking first God's Kingdom.

"Charge them that are rich in this world, that they may be not high minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy: That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; Laying up for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life". I Timothy 6: 17-19.

I considered the concept of what it means to be rich in this world. What does God mean when he refers to earthly riches? What did Jesus mean, when he taught about earthly riches? We have our concept as mortals, about what it means to be rich. Live the good life, protect our family, live a good christian life; enjoy life life. Yes the good life!

According to our earthly standards being rich is a good life. After all we provided for our family. We always kept a Job. We did things according the God's instruction and God blessed us to provide for our families.

The one thing we left out of this senario is that we did not consider what we are to do with the riches that God provided to us. Yes we did provide for our families, but these riches are not just for our immediate families. No these riches are for the Body of Christ as well. God gives us riches for a purpose. I hate to burst your bubble, but it was not by your on doing that you became rich, no it was because of the Grace of God.

We get all high minded with our head up in the air thinking that we are better than everyone. Thinking that we are superior because God blessed us with a bigger house, a nicer car, or whatever. We take this ridiculous thinking with us to our grave. Let's get this straight once and for all. We do not obtain riches strictly on our on work. Yes we must put forth an effort, a valid effort and sometimes a diligent effort. God did not say; don't try! But he did say this:

"Charge them that are rich in this world, that they may be not high minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy: That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; Laying up for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold of eternal life". God wants us to take our riches and give back to others while here on earth. It is a simple message, the verse says "ready to distribute, willing to communicate", which means that we may build up an eternal reward bank account before we go to heaven. You see what you do on this earth with our riches has a profound impact on the rewards that you will receive in heaven. You are saved by the Grace of Jesus Christ, by accepting Him as your Savior you have an automatic ticket to heaven. God gives us an added bonus by rewarding us for our good deeds here on earth.

Don't think that monetary gifts are the only things that we are rich in and have been blessed with. No if you have a gift or talent that the Lord blessed you with, he expects you to use that talent and give back to others. Don't worry about how much it cost are how can you afford to do it. Like the Nike slogan said.........Just Do It!

Jesus Christ Was Born; We Celebrate Forever

The Birth of Jesus was a joyous event. It set in motion a way through Christ for our eternal salvation. When we celebrate Christmas, we celebrate our route to eternal life through Jesus Christ. As we give gifts to our friends and relatives, we should all pause to remember the birth of Jesus and the ultimate sacrifice that he made for us on the cross on Calvary. That is what Christmas is all about.

Evangelism and Outreach is Needed In America

Its clear that evangelism and outreach is increasingly needed not just abroad, but in America as well. We need to do all we can to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, by reaching out and let others know about the Good News. We are all members of the Body of Christ, the church and this is absolutely the most important mission that we have as Christians. Particularly when there are so many people who do not know the Lord and or engaged in all manor of Sin against God.

We do not do enough in this country to tell enough people about the Good News. It will be a hard fought battle and not one that will be won easily. There are many people who are set against hearing or even listening to the Word of God, however if we can save just one, our mission will not be in vain. We must remember Jesus' Great Commission; Matthew 28:19- 'Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”. That is our charge and our commission, even when we are facing a world bent on performing all manor of evil and sin, right here in America.

The Key To Improving Your Life

I would like to comment on the direction that our country is headed. I know these beliefs seems to be outdated and not with the mainstream of our country. But I feel these things must be said. I know there are a lot of non-believers, that is people who do not believe that God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross of Calvary for our sins. If you confess those sins and ask Jesus to come into your life you will have eternal life.

Most people will probably read this and think that it just a bunch of Christian rhetoric and that anyone who states this is an absolute idiot. I respect your opinion and you're entitled to it. I'm not here to convert you or judge you. That is not my place. I believe that remains for Jesus Christ to do when he returns. If you don't believe that I understand it. I do know what the Bible says that anyone who rejects the Son (Jesus Christ) has rejected the Father ( Almighty God). I don't come to you today focusing on issues of the day. You know what they are. But I do come to tell you that God is real and His Son and our Savior Jesus Christ, performed a great act for us by grace, by dying on the cross. He only requires that you acknowledge Him as your Lord and Savior and you will have not only life here on earth,but eternal life. It is a simple formula.

You know that he gave you a choice, just like he gave all of us the choice to accept Him as Savior or reject Him. You can choose either option. Jesus loves you so he would like you to choose Him, but He will by know means force you to. It's your choice, you're in control of your own life. You can follow any religion that you choose. You have that choice it's up to you. But think about this; none of us knows what the future will hold. We don't know if we will be around tomorrow or next year for that matter. But I believe there is a book of instruction available to us all, that clearly tell us how to live our lives. It's called the Holy Bible. Many claim they have read the Bible and they understand what it says; they even go as far as quoting and interpreting the words.

I'm here to tell you you can't read the Bible, every single book of the Bible, and have a clear understanding of it. You must not only read the Bible all the way through, but you must constantly meditate on it on a daily basis to clearly understand it's message. Then the discernment and understanding that all of us seeks comes to us. God and the the Holy Spirit give us this discernment. Your destiny is too important to take this lightly. You can rationalize that this is just Christian far right rhetoric, but remember this; God is real. By the way I am not a member of the far right.

I grew up going to church, I gave lip service to it. My father was a minister, so I knew that catch phrases and everything else, but I did not know the Lord. it was only at age 48 when I faced the prospect of dying of a cancer diagnoses, that I truly came to understand that God and that His Son Jesus Christ is real. I renounced my sinful lifestyle, I forgave those who had done wrong to me and I thanked Jesus Christ for giving his life for me on the cross of Calvary for my Sins and I asked Him with complete faith to heal me.

Sometimes God heals you and sometimes he doesn't. You see God has a plan or blueprint for our lives. Certain pieces of the puzzle must come together in order for that plan to materialize. Even though You may not even believe in God, He still loves You and he wants you to be part of His family, through his Son and Our Savior Jesus Christ.

I am a six year cancer survivor, I am currently laid off from my place of employment; downsized as they say. I have lost a member of my family and other things have happened in my life that could cause me to be bitter and turn away from God; but through Jesus Christ I have a new life; I got by life back and for that I have eternal life. I still believe that God Is Real You see when you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior things change. Your Life changes and it does not matter what happens to you externally; because this world is lost. Things will always happen perpetuated by non believers, because we live in a fallen world. God is not responsible for these things because he made man and woman free choice beings. We are responsible by the bad choices that we make.

Everything you do is a choice. It is the ultimate democracy, when one person chooses to do something, there are countless other people that it affects, more than that person knows. Think about it. That is why bad things happen in this world. Because of not so good choices we make.

So the best thing you can do for yourself in pick up a bible and begin to read it. I suggest you read the New Testament books first and then read the Old Testament. The four Gospels;Matthew, Mark , Luke and John and the eleven Books for the New Testament written by Paul, are especially meaningful because they give you a good foundation. It could take you a year to do; but it is a gift that will last eternally. You don't have to make a commitment to anything. But by reading the Bible, God will give you understanding and discernment of how to live your life. Enough so that you will ask Him through His Son Jesus Christ to come into you life. It's no fairy tale. It is Real. 'Yes God is Real"

The Road

Our steps are ordered. Predestined and outlined; Yet we dare to create our own path. We should know; will know which road to choose. Yet we do not consult; we do seek council. We act, we move we go and our steps are not sanctioned. We live; we let live and our purpose is narrow. Our thoughts are unproductive and mistakes are at hand. Our road is rough and jagged, some times the drifting snow takes away our visibility.

The Road is closed, the result of our choices. We seek; we knock the door is open, but only when we come with contrition. Then with grace we learn the ordered steps. The planned steps; the guided steps to the road of victory. It's elusiveness is certainly due to our shortsightedness; we've passed this road many times; but we did not bother to ask for help.

It's your choice; to discern the meaning of this writing. With it you learn the directions you need to the road. The direction are within you, or could be; if only you ask; if only you ask. To find the road, by shedding the baggage. Yes shedding the dead weight. To not only find the road, but to travel along it to your home.

Marcus Maybin Is A Fighter

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Former University of Louisville men's basketball player Marques Maybin met with members of the media on Tuesday at the Yum! Center to discus the upcoming 2008 Marques Maybin Classic to be played Dec. 6-8 at Freedom Hall in Louisville amongst other things.

The event is named for Maybin, the Cardinals' No. 13 all-time scorer who was paralyzed from the waist down in a motorcycle accident on Aug. 5, 2003. He is currently enrolled at U of L to complete his degree requirements. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be earmarked for the Marques Maybin Medical Fund.

Maybin led the Cardinals in scoring in his final two years at U of L, including averaging 17.7 points as a senior during the 2000-01 season. He completed his career with 1,624 career points while playing at U of L from 1997-2001, ranking 13th all-time at Louisville and eighth in Conference USA history. His career 156-three point goals is seventh all-time for the Cardinals and he is sixth in career dunks with 95.

God Work In Stressful Situations

In the world that we live in we can expect trials, so that we must develop patience in order to whether the storms of life. Patience gives honor and glory to God in that we are placing our trust and our faith in Him to overcome our current circumstances. Though we cannot see beyond the moment, we are to develop the patience and restraint to let God be God.

There is a verse in the bible that I like to use. "I walk By Faith, Not By Sight" This simply says that we trust the Lord to deliver on his promises and even though we currently do not see the Godly outcome, we have the belief that the current situation will eventually be what God promised. Not only this, "we call those things that are not as though they were". What we say is stressful situation has much to do with the outcome. If we go around being bitter, our outcome we not be good. If we live with anticipation that God will see us through to a good beginning, then that is the outcome that we will have.

When your negative feeling and thoughts seem to consume you trust in God that he will do what he said he would do.

God's Words Must Be Activated By Faith Then Acting On The Faith

We must hear God’s word and put it into action.

Luke 7:47. “I will show you what he is like who comes to Me and hears My words and puts them into practice. He is like a man building a house, who dug deep down and laid the foundation on the rock. When the flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built”.

We must hear God’s word and then take the action step by putting those words into action in order to activate God’s miraculous intervention. Like the woman with the issue of blood who said if I can touch the hem of Jesus garment, I will be made whole.” She hears the word, that Jesus could heal her, she took the action step of touching His Garment and she was made whole. This woman was desperate, and had spent absolutely all that she had. She had no choice but to put her faith in the Lord. But more importantly, she believed that by acting on her faith she would be made whole and she was.

God sometimes wants us to take action steps in order to activate His word. There are many examples of this in the Bible. We don’t know why He wants us to take these action steps; it is not important. We only know that God is God and He works through Jesus Christ and supernaturally He has a plan, a formula for us to follow.

When you purchase a cell phone we must call in to activate the phone. It is not enough to purchase the product and it works, no we must activate it. Like wise you must hear the word, discern it and by faith activate it. You must take this step in order to insure that the word is released in your life. This is God’s Gift of Faith For our lives.

God Uphold's the Rights of the Oppressed

We fail to understand that our physical earthly bodies will pass away like the wind. Like a mirage, we are here today, yet gone tomorrow. All that matters is the eternity of God’s kingdom through Jesus Christ.

Yet Christ was dispised and rejected by men as well. In Jesus time on earth many failed to heed His message and look inside His heart.

Absolute Truth Are Secular in Nature

Use Your Emotions to Further The Good News of Jesus Christ

I read an interesting article about the range and scope of the human condition. The article touched on the Godly emotions that we are all equipped with that compliment our daily lives and activity. You know emotions are at our command to change. God equipped us to turn them on or turn them off. We have a hand on the lever and we have the control over them. Yet sometimes we can use our emotions for the betterment of God’s kingdom.

There are quite a list of vibrant feelings and emotions that many biblical characters revealed with passion. I think of Paul how he turned his emotions, through actions steps, to teach others about the Good News of Christ. The range of our concept of our love and emotion went from Like, the weaker emotion, to Love the stronger emotion. Paul channeled these emotions to further the understanding of the Good News of Christ and His ultimate message of salvation in the wake of the devastation of this fallen world. Through his act of Love, Paul helped the church to understand what it truly means to be a member of the Body of Christ.

Many men and women felt great sorrow when Jesus Died on the cross. James, John, Jesus mother Mary, were just a few of those who followed Jesus and suffered great Sorrow over His death. They felt the range of emotions from Sadness to Sorrow. When Jesus arose from the dead, three days later they displayed the profound emotion of Joy. It did not stop here they focused their feelings of Joy on spreading the word to all they knew that despite Jesus crucifixion on the cross, that he arose from the grave and He is alive; yesterday, today and forever.

Think about the emotions that over take you when you think about the Love and protection of Jesus Christ. How can you take an action step and use that emotion to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ?

Now Faith Is The Substance Of Things Hoped For, The Evidence Of Things Not Seen- Hebrew 11:1

In the fallen world that we live in there will be turmoil . There will be confrontation, there will be devastation and there will be rampant inhumanity toward man , by man. These are absolutes, because we live in a fallen world. The first man, Adam, made sure of that; so we must be practical and diligent in how we exercise our faith.

Hebrew 11: 1 says that faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Faith is not a solid object that we can reach out and touch. It is not even a earthly concept. It is more a state of mind. It is our point of view. Faith is developed and refined. It is like the fermentation of a yeast when you make bread. It rises to gigantic proportions supernaturally. That is faith. We don't quite know how the bread rose... all we know is that it did.

So it is with prayer, when we engage in prayer, it is faith in action. An action step and we wait for the evidence of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. We take the action of prayer, because we believe that this unseen action step (prayer) will be heard by God, through Jesus Christ. That is a powerful leap of faith. We have no guarantees, No man or woman gave us a certificate and said that it would happen. Yet we believed strongly enough that we focused on Jesus Christ and the Cross in prayer and presented our request to God and we believed that the evidence of the act would come to pass.

We never know when it would happen. We don't know how it would happen, We don't know under what circumstances that it will happen. We don't know where it will happen. But we take God's word that it will happen whenever we exercise our faith through prayer. That is what true faith is.

To you have true faith? Do you truly believe that God will do what he said he will do through his Son and our Savior Jesus Christ? Activate your faith, by focusing on the Kingdom, The Body of Christ; The Father the Son and the Holy Ghost. Activate this focus with the action step of prayer and remember. Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Be Patient and Just Wait On The Lord

Sometimes we must risk our faith in the unknown in order to secure the prize the God has in store for us. If you have ever faced adversity, perhaps sickness, a loss of your job or some other health problem; it may have appeared that God was not working in your life through Jesus Christ. You probably no doubt felt abandoned and all along.

But the Parable of the Growing seed in Mark 4:26 Jesus said this " his is what the kingdom of God is like. A man Scatters seed on the Ground. Night or day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how". Jesus is saying that God is always working in your life like the tiny seed that is growing to a tremendous stalk, God has similar plans for your life even though you cannot see the plan or even know that is it is working.

No matter what your circumstance, God is in Control and his kingdom is waiting for you for eternal life. So when progress seems slow your thorn of sickness, job loss, unemployment or any other predicament of life seems to linger, just know that like the tiny seed a farmer plants, God is working quietly behind the scene and he is dealing with your problem. Be patient and just wit on the Lord.

Activate Your Spirtual Overdrive System "SOS"

We often fret about the characteristics of this fallen world. Why does it seem that somehow the most ungodly people seem to get the promotions at work? Why do the most uncaring people seems to reap the most reward at work? Sometimes we seem to feel that we are passed by for raises and promotions, yet someone who could care less about the Lord seems to make their own way and prosper. Yes sometimes it gives us room to pause and ask..............................Why?

We must know in these situations that God is in control and we must operate in what I like to call a "Spiritual Overdrive System" Lets' call it SOS. We've been equipped with it for a long time. If we have accepted Christ as our savior; the SOS can be made operable in us. You do it by activating the Holy Spirit. You don't push a button like in an SUV to put the car in overdrive. No we did not come equipped with a mechanical overdrive system, but we did come equipped with a Spiritual Overdrive System, SOS, that supernaturally kicks in through the Holy Spirit who lives in us and guides us.

The Spiritual Overdrive System does not come with a warranty. It is guaranteed for eternity. You don't have to keep a record of maintenance,because God has supernatural record keeping system. You don't need a password or User name to activate it. You just need to believe in the Lord and ask him to give you strength to overcome buyers remorse. You know sometimes we need a spiritual tune-up, particularly when we get down and depressed because we see the wicked prosper. That means we're living too much for and in this fallen world. There is a place we can go at that point.

We can go the index of the God's instruction manual, the Bible, and we come to these instructions.

1) We can refuse to allow the success of the wicked to undermine our confidence in God's Justice and goodness. It's always there,God always promises it, simply because "That's the Way God Rolls". (That's God's Gift To Us).

2.) We must know that God has a game plan to even the score; it may or may not be in this life time; but we have eternal life in Christ so we will obtain our reward either in this life or in our life after we leave this earth. That's up to God.

With this revelation we have a brand new outlook on life. A brand new computer chip that is friendship and nourishment to our souls. A lifestyle of righteous living that is far superior to the idol of promotion, the idol of raises, the idol of merit awards, or anything else that is a product of this fallen world. We must learn to live above this fallen world and grab hold of the gift of grace that Jesus Christ gave to us on Calvary. That is our gift of eternal life. A gift that keeps on giving. Far superior than some company generated merit award.

Do let earthly values contaminate your Spiritual Overdrive System, which allows us to operate above our circumstances through the Holy Spirit. Get a daily tune-up through God's word and you will no longer worry about co-workers, but try to bring these people to Christ, then your reward will be much more greater than anything anyone in this fallen world could give you or offer you.

God Has Got Your Back

God is our refuge. He is our shield. His shield protects us. The lord promises the covenant when we trust in him. It is better to put confidence in the Lord than to put confidence in earthly things. God wants us to place our trust in him and not in earthly idols. But those whose trust in the Lord cannot be moved. Psalm 125: 1- Says that those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion. Mt. Zion was like a fortress- a place through him where we can take refuge from our enemies..

Every word of God is a shield or refuge for those who put their trust in him. What the Lord is doing is giving us instruction, a blueprint, or prescription, to protect our lives from harm. God provides a deep, impenetrable protection to those who rely on him. That is God’s word, that is God’s protection. You want find this in any earthly institution. You want find this from psychologist. In Isaiah 26: 3. It says the Lord will keep you in perfect peace in him whose mind is steadfast and constantly in the Lord.

We must trust in the Lord for he is our refuge and our strength. The Lord is passionate, fervent, and heated, on our behalf. When you need an enforcer. You need an outspoken advocate in the Lord. In other words, “He’s got your back” If you’re in God, Guess what? He has got your back!

God will illuminate our case, isolate it, bring it clear and forward for all to see. You have all the above when you trust in the Lord. You don’t need to know what it is. Just trust in the Lord and He will bring it to pass. Everything you think, God will bring it to you if you commit to trust Him and He will bring it to pass. Don’t worry about what it is. That’s God’s business, but he’s ready to give it to you. He’s Got You back, no matter What it is.

Confess your Faith and Then Act - to Receive God's Blessing

We walk by faith and not by sight. Often we do not exercise the power that we to overcome life adversities. But in order to overcome a particular circumstance, we must release the faith and the Power of Almighty God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In Mark Chapter 5, the story of a woman who had an affliction actually exercised her faith in Mark 5: 28-29. She verbally spoke her faith out loud, she spoke to herself. “For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” “Immediately the fountain of blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction“.

In Mark 5: 29 Jesus said, ‘Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction. It takes faith to release the power of the Lord in our lives. But we must act on our faith and take the necessary steps for Jesus power to be activated in our lives. We are saved by Grace and our Faith is a gift from God. All of us have been given a measure of faith. The same measure. But it is up to us to grow our faith through action steps of spending time with the Lord and meditating with Him and upon His word.

Like the woman with the affliction we have the power to release Jesus power by believing , confessing and taking the necessary steps to obtain the prize. The woman said, ‘If I can touch His clothes (Jesus), I will be made hold”. Her faith was solidified by her belief, she followed up her confession by touching His clothes and she was healed.

All of us have the God given power within us. If we believe-confess and act on that belief

If You Know The Pilot You Don't Have To Worry About The Journey

No matter what, God is in control. We often hear people ask the question, why do bad things happen to good people? We often get discouraged when we lose a love one, who seems to be the very best christian that they can be, yet life seemed to deal them misfortune time and time again. This causes many to wonder why? If God is a loving God, why did he allow this to happen to a God Fearing Christian?

It is a legitimate question, but one that we as mere mortals have no way to answer. We cannot began to use the logic to sort through this age old question, because God's plan cannot be questioned, simply because we cannot. We just need to know that God has a plan. He knows where all the pices of the puzzle fall. He knows our past and he know our future and every piece of the puzzle must be placed in the correct position in order for his plan for our life and our eternity through Christ to flourish.

Jesus came to this earth, so that we might have life and have life more abundantly. We simply need to let God, be God, sit back and enjoy the ride. He is our Pilot and we don't have to worry about the journey.
